Total Job Shadow 2017 Essay Competition Awards,Koko, Delta State

The Total Nigeria Plc 2017 Job Shadow essay competition award held in Koko Delta state on Friday 10th November 2016.  This award is a fallout of the  Return-on-Experience essay competition organized for 50 students who formed part of the Total Job shadow event.

​The Total Job Shadow  is an educational initiative aimed at exposing senior secondary school students from government schools across Nigeria to the work environment and provide the opportunity for them to learn about various career options open to them, whilst preparing them to become future leaders, have wild dreams and become positive change agents wherever they find themselves.  The Job Shadow event was held at the Lubricant Blending Plant, Koko, Delta State on Thursday 29th June, 2017.

After this event, 50 Senior Secondary School students selected from Iwere College, Beach Secondary School and Omateye Secondary School, Ajagbodudu, all within the Koko community of Delta were made to write an essay completion on their experience from the Job Shadow.

Each of the participating schools had 3 winners with the first place winners receiving Internet ready educational tablets preloaded with volumes of educational materials to aid their research and studies.   They also received other prizes like Solar lamps, mosquito nets, branded gift items amongst others.

The runners' up from each of the schools also received solar lamps, mosquito nets and other branded gifts.

These gifts were presented to each of the students at their school assembly ground to serve as motivation to other students to challenge and harness the aggressive spirit in them that will cause them to excel and bring out the best in these students.
