Bitumen

Total Nigeria Plc is well established in the area of marketing bituminous products with a high-level customer base in the construction industry. TOTAL has 60% of the market share in Nigeria.

Bitumen can be derived in two processes; as a by-product of fractionalisation of crude oil and as a solid extractive material from the earth.

Our major bitumen plant is situated at Koko in Delta state with a capacity of 8,400 MT and offers advantages which includes fast loading rate with good accessible road to the plant. This plant is ISO certified. We also store bitumen in our Lagos and Port-Harcourt depots for prompt supply to our customers.

Product Range  

For direct application at high temperature, hot mixes and surface dressing, we have the following penetration grades:

STRAIGHT: 60/70
CUTBACK: MC0, MC1, and S125

Customers have two options in the collection of product.

  • Ex Depot
  • Delivered on request: delivery within 24hrs of payment

Our bitumen plant has the capacity of loading 25 trucks per day.


Quality Assurance



A Standard well equipped ISO Certified Laboratory at the Koko bitumen plant ensures that our bitumen products are of the highest quality. Every consignment is tested and analysed to ensure its conformity with specification. Results and samples are kept for reference.
